Do you really want ai to colonize entire worlds all by themselves?
I've played the X-series where the humans build and send terraformer into outer space to prepare planets for humans.
Unfortunately they had a programming error and started to terraform inhabited planets.
Imho there should be always a human supervisor present.

This whole automated terraforming idea is hardly new, just check out The Millennial Project: Colonizing the Galaxy in Eight Easy Steps by Marshall T. Savage.
The "eei" idea is interesting; I've noticed that, for a lot of games, I often reach a point where I don't know what to do, or the thing I'm supposed to do is too hard for me to do, or I'll have to spend a lot of time oto do it...in which case, I stop playing and go to one of the many other games I own.
(I don't really know how to use blueprints. There needs to be a tutorial that shows how to use them, or a campaign level that uses them, or something, because using the wiki as the manual isn't that fun...)

Blueprints are easy, the hard part is building a roboport network and construction robot army to follow them.Chaoseed wrote:(I don't really know how to use blueprints. Maybe as an intermediate step, you could build a "repair network" that uses construction robots and a simplified roboport? Then when automated construction is available you already have a squad of construction robots to get started with. Hmm, sounds like a great idea for a mod.

Interesting story. And the conclusion - no more demo version of Factorio.

About the main menu... You know how the menu worked in Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour? I'm talking about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUNq7wog_Ro. I think it would be cool to make that kind of animation for factorio.

Really useful tip for the runny/leaky nose part is to make some salt water (salt + water) and then pouring it into the nose that is runny. This way I went from using a tissue every hour to none for the whole school day

Noticed the told change in FFF #111 so il continue to use my signature ^_^Thanks for listening to our suggestions, devs !
I would jump of joy if we could specify which tiles spawned in a surfaces

The eei can also be hurt by frustrating experiences, like being stopped by things on the map. In Factorio, this is solved by letting the avatar automatically sidestep things like electric poles and turrets.
Personally, what tends to hurt my eei most is the fact that I need such a long time to wipe out larger biter bases. My usual tactic is to build a turret farm nearby, and then flank and run.

This is why gaming industry and software industry is flourishing.
Developing a software gives a new and logical way of analysing problems.
