You should replace the word "Befehl" by "Anweisung". "Befehl" is for soldiers. "Anweisung" is for urban people.

Fits pretty well for what it is. "Anweisung" is too close to "instruction"/"briefing" for my taste.https://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/Befehl wrote:Anweisung an Rechenanlagen zur Ausführung einer bestimmten Operation
Yes, "Befehl" is used in the lingo of computer programming/data processing as well as in that of the military. It means an order that has to be strictly followed, and in the military you will be punished for disobeying an order -- under martial law, refusing to obey an order has often brought about capital punishment. Then again, I'd argue that there is no big difference between soldiers and computers. Both are expected to blindly follow orders, even wrong orders --but the decisions are made by the programmer/the soldiers superiors.Bilka wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2019 9:20 amhttps://de.wiktionary.org/wiki/Befehl wrote:kleinste Funktionseinheit eines Programmes in der DatenverarbeitungFits pretty well for what it is.
