[0.17.23] weird power pole autoplace behavior

Ever since autoplace power poles (and substations for me) crashes the game was fixed yesterday we get some weird behaviour of autoplacing powerpoles, of any kind

i cant always reproduce it, but i caught in on tape
(let me know if i should take it down. its not tagged with "Factorio" and unlisted, but since the link is now out there, who knows.... )

what happens is, when you pick up a power pole with pipette tool and place it over the already existing one, sometime you get a noise as if you were too far away to build
it then places the pole somewhere the cable doesn´t reach
it also, at some point, placed about 10-12 large poles (not connected to each other, but in a line) to a place FAR away
but unfortunatly i cant reproduce that, altho it did that twice when trying to connect the end of the power line to extend west
pic
those were unmodded big power poles, but this also happened to the other guy i share the server with.
i suddenly found a line of ~15 medium power poles, the lighted ones from Optera´s LightedPolesPlus, going across an empty field in the middle of the base. I asked him about it and he said he didn´t place them

Since i dont know if this is related, i´ll post a second video, with autoplacing medium (modded) and small power poles, trying to find out where they belong
i just set that up, but it happens all the time when dragging them across some entities that need power.
This jumping around of the ghost(?) thats trying to figure stuff out feels weird

it kind of isn´t, as i have never drawn a line of poles where they appeared (the line in the pic), so i couldn´t have deconstructed them.
If its technically the same and fixed, also great ;)
