Deactivated train station blocking other stations?

Hi,
I have multiple stations in a row, without any signals inbetween them.

For some reason the coal station is blocking the copper and iron station. My trains aren't going to this two stations, they are standing in the stacker and wait for any other copper or iron station to open. But the same principle works great with the two liquid stations in the top of the screenshot. I don't get why.

The train pathfinder will try to avoid a path through stations not on the schedule if possible. Either you remove all alternatives of the station you want the train to go, or you need to build a setup that does not require to path through stations without stopping.

Thanks. So basically, trains prefer to wait for a path to an alternative till the cows come home, over passing through a deactivated station. That seems weird. One would assume a train would treat a disabled station like it wouldn't exist, because that's what they do with disabled stations on their route.

This doesn't happen for me, trains happily go through stops, whether disabled or enabled, to get to their enabled destinations when that's shortest.
maybe you could provide a blueprint or save?
edit:
Put a locomotive with a Hendrik,1,Hendrik,2,Hendrik,3 schedule leaving on empty inventory to have it cycle around.

In your case it's the only option. They simply avoid stations, but they will go through them eventually.

Making it the only option was kinda the point, since that's the situation in which OP claims trains will wait rather than go there.

Sorry, I misread that and thought there were alternate stations elsewhere or something.

Well the OP states "they are standing in the stacker and wait for any other copper or iron station to open", so that at least suggests that other iron and copper stations exist in his setup.
If that is true, then the path length penalties (
https://wiki.factorio.com/Railway/Train_path_finding) for pathing through a stations not their destination explain why trains prefer to wait for one of the other stations to open, rather through the coal station.

tl;dr: blueprint/save or it didn't happen. Trains will path to the nearest enabled stop with the right name, considering penalties. Whether trainstops along the path are enabled or not doesn't have any effect on the penalties for pathing there, you can see this by playing with the blueprint.
