Game crashes computer, forcing reboot:
1) 2.0.69 running on extended display ((KTC H27P22S), fullscreen, HDMI connection from Macbook Pro Max 16
2) OS 26.0.1
3) at any point during launch or gameplay
4) when mouse is moved to the top of the external display

Does not crash:
1) when launching or running on main display, even when external monitor is attached
1b) when mouse is moved to external display and up when game is on main display
2) when mouse is moved to main display then to the top with game on external monitor
3) when mouse is moved to other side or bottom of external display where game is running
4) when launching or playing on external display but mouse is not moved to the top edge

I do not recall this happening while playing on 2.0.66 or earlier versions, but i can not say when i may or may not have moved the mouse to the top of the screen.

log files and system crash screenshot.

I confirmed this crash does not occur on the last game version I had been using (2.0.66).

Try if switching to opengl makes it work:

Can someone please elaborate on where to find this 'hidden setting to revert to OpenGL'? I'm hoping / assuming it's a command-line flag or config file that I can edit manually, as like I said -- I can't even launch the game post 2.0.68.
https://wiki.factorio.com/Application_directory lists where config files are stored.

Code: Select all

; force-opengl=false
might be the line you need - remove the semicolon and change false to true. It MIGHT be different on Mac.

Yes, changing line 3233 of the config.ini file to "force-opengl=true" results in the title bar and menu bar reveal and hide as expected; and no system panic.

I didn't think to include it earlier, but I also have stage manager enabled.
