[2.0.57] ~10 FPS Drop when maximized/fullscreen

I can't seem to find the root cause of why the game renders differently when maximized or at full screen versus when windowed (Even a few pixels smaller than maximized).

I'm on Ubuntu 24.04, using gdm/X11. I've got the latest published nvidia ubuntu drivers: 570.133.07.

Even growing like 5 px to maximize it drops my FPS at a minimum of 10 FPS, usually ~ 20FPS. I'm trying to determine what happens different when an app is maximized vs when not.

VSync is disabled, PowerMizer is set to Prefer Maximum Performance in nvidia settings, and I even experimented with the `SDL_VIDEO_X11_NET_WM_BYPASS_COMPOSITOR=0` flag when launching. I cannot for the life of me find out why my FPS drops so drastically after a simple maximize.

I did try digging into apitrace to see if the opengl calls varied drastically, but I couldn't effectively decipher the trace file (Mainly because the game rendered badly the entire time during the tracing session, there wasn't a huge noticeable shift). If someone wants to try to analyze, I posted the two trace files here (One trimmed down to just 2 frames (frame 400 and frame 476, before and after maximizing the window):
