[2.0.47] [Linux] Factorio plays no sound, and breaks sound on rest of computer

Difficult bug to describe, but will try. Originally reported: https://steamcommunity.com/app/427520/d ... 589480986/
When starting Factorio 2.0, sound will SOMETIMES work. When it does, everything is fine. But at completely random times the sound just stops - and when it does it takes the whole OS sound system with it. YouTube or anything else playing will abruptly die as well. Trying to play anything (e.g. a YouTube) video will make it stuck with a Spinning Loader. After "a while" Factorio sound will start working again, at which point the collective sound that it has tried to play over the last couple of minutes will all come back at once, causing a massive sudden explosion of sound.
Trying to close Factorio in the "audio broken" state will always make it crash with a popup saying "Factorio is not responding" where I have to select "Force Quit". Pressing Force Quit will usually cause the same audio-explosion as mentioned above.
This is only an issue in Factorio 2.0 and never happened in Factorio 1.x.
Running Ubuntu 24.04 with Pipewire as audio system.
