What did you do?
Created a Vulcanus Ribbonworld.

What happened?

With the debug option "show-segmented-units-on-chart" enabled it makes more sense what is going on:

What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
Demolisher would respect "Out of Map (Tile)" boundaries, if they are able to turn in a different direction.

Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
  • Using the "Ribbon World" map gen preset, or any non-Infinite "Width" / "Height" Map Generation setting
  • If you spawn a Demolisher on a Space Platform smaller than their turn radius (in Map Editor mode).
The Demolisher is not harmed by the trip to Beetlejuice-space, but it does look weird. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the report however this is working as intended. Demolishers do not care about tiles and will move over any and all of them to get where they want to go.

Thanks, it makes sense that Demolishers don't care about tiles - just their Territory & search pattern.

I was briefly hopeful that a "Cage" could be built in the Map Editor using "Out of Map (tile)" to keep one as a pet. Instead I have just searched for a lucky Map Seed and built some (pointless, but pretty) walls.
