Pros and cons of mining/recycling scrap with quality

When I started on Fulgora, I assumed that it would be worth putting quality modules in my miners and scrap recyclers - all those high quality processing units But I've found there's a problem. The one resource you can *only* get by processing scrap is Holmium, and the only thing you can do with holmium ore is to process it into holmium solution. But liquid processing doesn't use quality, and you can't use anything other than normal holmium ore to make holmium solution.
So, unless I'm missing something, higher quality holmium ore is completely useless, and all you can do with it is recycle it out of existence. Which makes putting quality modules in scrap recyclers and miners a two-edged sword - you get better quality resources (for those resources where quality matters) but you significantly reduce your usable holmium yield. Plus your miners and recyclers run slower.
To be honest, I think I probably haven't got fully into the mindset of Fulgora yet. With the *huge* scrap resources, maybe "who cares if I trash some stuff" is the way to think of it? But at the moment, I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't use quality modules in the scrap mining and processing chain...?
