Expand the circuit connection range for asteroid collectors

Right now, if you want to connect all your collectors together for a circuit network to, for example, set filters on all collectors at the same time, you have to make random stops on whatever happens to be nearby.
I wish the wire connection range on collectors was as long as the collection area (so two collectors of the same quality placed with no overlap can just reach a wire to eachother).
This also means the connection range should expand with rarity.
If not, then I wish there was another way to route circuitry on space platforms. Because you don't need to build power poles up there, you don't have convenient nodes to jump around on.

Since we're talking about pure convenience / aesthetics — not wanting to use another entity as a jumping point — just spare a tile for a power pole ?
EDIT : oh, being how it's about exactly the range of collectors, I think I do agree with your point.
