I thought it was just me not noticing it before, but every single smelting recipe takes way too long in 0.9.x.

After a bit of checking, it come from a change in the smelting formula, and the change not being made in the recipes for the mod.

As an example, in 0.8.8, steel took 500 energy, in 0.9.2, it only takes 17.5.
It means the energy needs to be divided by roughly 28.57.
The new value for copper/iron/stone is 3.5, and it was the same values before, so I took the liberty of putting 100 > 3.5 and 75 > 2.6

Here is the 'smelting.lua' with the corrections.

Thanks for the heads up, I thought it was just me not remembering correctly, and finding the dust a bit lacking as a result.

While I am in the files, I'll try to understand why those recycler recipes crash the game.
