Neat, how many hours on this save? :)

6,062 satellites launched.
Ah right, it wasn't a new save though. Almost got me there

Should I not move this to "Show your creations" ?
I searched and wasn't sure of the best place; if you have a better home for it, please move it where it belongs... and thank you for all you do here.
[Koub] Fine then, moved the topic to "Show your Creations" :)

It's been rather a long time but I was waiting for... uranium processing... to get enough U235... to start up a little nuclear reactor 8-)

So I have combined uranium processing and kovarex because they have the same outputs (U238 and U235).
I also combined producing fuel cells with reprocessing.

And this is rocket launch #6 ready to go!

The rainbow bus is big enough now that I have given up trying to walk - I take the train from one end to the other...

You're using underneathies, that's cheating. You should use filter splitters when you want to cross a belt if you really want to do it wrong.
If you really wanted to do it wrong, use a sushi belt with filter pickers.

I think that would actually be quite practical as long as items don't back up. For that you need circuit logic so you only put items on the belt that will be used up later on. And you probably want priority splitters so items don't get past filter inserters and clog up the later bus. Since most recipes have more inputs than outputs your bus would have to start wide and then get thinner and thinner. So as the bus progresses you are condensing items into more and more complex results. But as you build something will probably slip up. So probably a good idea to have at least one belt going backwards to carry excess items that turn up at the end of the bus back to the start and reinsert them.

Overall it's a bit stupid to have copper or on the bus from start to finish when it isn't used at all (iirc) beyond smelting into copper plates. You do need some iron ore mid through again but that too has a final recipe beyond which it won't be needed. Or even more costly thing about having a full belt of satelites continue past the rocket silo. What a waste. Unless you are doing it for the colors on the belts.

I think you mean if you want to do it very right. Belt swapping with filter splitters is hilarious and should be done way more often :v
