This may be an artifact of the multiplayer delay, but I have a bit of trouble aligning my player with things sometimes (like conveyor belts). It might be nice to have a button to hold that would make the player walk slowly rather than run to make precise movement a bit easier. When not holding it, the player would still move as normal.
As an added bonus, perhaps the enemies would not notice you as far away if you were "sneaking" so to speak. Not much use since the enemies attack in large groups, but the concepts link up pretty well I think.
Regardless, this suggestion is just for the walk/sneak button, not anything to do with how enemies work.

Re: Slow/careful walk button
Is this still a problem without wearing an exoskeleton?
Your idea might solve my issue anyway.

Idea: Careful walk might enable to walk a little bit closer to the natives before they attack you...
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

That was already mentioned in the first post in the thread, ssilk.
Yes, even without an exoskeleton this is a problem. Precisely walking is very hard.

Re: Slow/careful walk button
I havn't tried multiplayer recently, but I remember in 0.11, tap the key, walk 2 tiles. I can't say I need to sneak normally.
