Adding roof tiles between walls hides everything below. Walls must reasonably support the roof tiles as they cannot hover in the air. Gates count as walls.

This is nothing else than aesthetics; to hide all those combinators, wires and support structure cluttering your meticulous designs.

Mouse over the roof to fade it out and see what's beneath. Or press a key to swap display of all roofs. Display an icon on a roof tile to indicate the purpose of the building.

While this would be really low on my priority list, I actually like this idea a lot. But then again, I guess I have some sort of neatness OCD :D
