I want to bring now this off-topic discussion into an own thread.
I see, that some have problems with English.
But my concern as moderator is, that the forum serves the expectations. And one of that is, that I can discuss with nearly everyone, and that includes to discuss in a language, which is spoken everywhere, so that there is the possibility. And another is, that this forum can be seen as reference, cause it can be understood by most people.
I try to help, by allowing some non-English communication if there is - as good as possible - an English translation included (I exclude the translation subboard).
I can think about sub-boards in other languages. First "non-English", and if that works for the most spoken (German, Czech, Russia, French ...) own boards.
But, well, at some point it doesn't make sense to fulfill every need on one central platform. There are already existing Factorio forums in other languages out there. I see this forum as the reference for others, and that includes to share ideas over language borders. If that is not possible, we will become soon a "tower of babel".
Forum: more languages?!.
Forum: more languages?!.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Re: Forum: more languages?!.
Hi Ssilk,
for me I think the general forums here should be held in englisch (or in some posts in english and another language like you did in the thread you mentiond and i did in my You Tube Thread) but for multiplayer I would like a forum in wich it is allowed for threads in other languages. With tags to notice the languages.
So I would like a forum named 'Multiplayer Multilanguage'
greetings

+1 on Phillip's comment. Other than multiplayer coordination, I think English should remain the default language on these forums.
I don't have OCD, I have CDO. It's the same, but with the letters in the correct order.
Re: Forum: more languages?!.
I want a Factorio forum in my language.
I made a Factorio Fan forum in my language!
I made factorio[dot]at for all German Users. ^^

Like I argued in that other thread, something like this. English is fine for the most parts of the forums, and we don't need sub-forums in different languages for now (saw communities with over half a million members; most language forums only contained a handful of outdated posts). BUT it would be totally fine to present your (for example) French-only server in a French thread in some "Server Forum" with a title like "[FR]Un Server fantastique!" (yeah, maybe my French's a bit rusty since school ). Let's do that and keep the rest of the forum English for now!Phillip_Lynx wrote:Hi Ssilk,
