[?] ... [0.8.8] ... [0.9.2] .... [?] Crashes on linux 32bit?
Hi, I've encountered a really weird crashes on my machine. Basically every 32bit optimized build of any version crashes within 5 minutes of gameplay. Has anyone else encountered this? It seems suspicious that I haven't seen this kind of a bug reported here.
I have no idea what I'm talking about.

How much active the player needs to be?

side note: that issue seems to have a similar version span

Random segmentation fault on Linux 32 bit with old computer
Things has been said, I have two computer on which I have tested the 32 bit build of the game on any version :
- My personal computer that is a bit old (2008), which has low video memory
- My friend computer which is pretty recent and great
I've also tested a windows build with wine on linux
On these three cases, I've only had the problems on my personal computer, on the others, I could play the game without stopping it a bit more than 24 hours.
The problem is simple ... a segmentation fault that came without predicable reason (sometimes I can't even finish the first tutorial level, some other times, I can go near the end of the scenario).
Here the details I've got with gdb (because I've not any debugging symbols or something else, the logs looks a bit ... obfuscated, sorry for that)

Re: Random segmentation fault on Linux 32 bit with old compu
I also encounter this issue. I am running the latest experimental build, and have a linux 32 bit pc from about 2009. However, I've managed to find a save which causes a segfault every time. I'll attach it to the post.
Here's the GDB output:
Download SaveFile
To cause the segfault using the save I have provided, you just place the furnace directly below the others in front of you, then a inserter the right way around on the left, then the right, then a piece of conveyor to the right of that inserter. Then move and after about 1/2 a second you segfault.
Hope this info is helpful.

Re: Random segmentation fault on Linux 32 bit with old compu
Actually, to use the savefile provided, you just have to move and you'll crash.
Re: Random segmentation fault on Linux 32 bit with old compu
This looks suspiciously similar to https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=2892
Re: Random segmentation fault on Linux 32 bit with old compu
Yes, it is probably the same bug. Maybe an admin could merge the topics?
Re: Random segmentation fault on Linux 32 bit with old compu
I found another save that causes a crash when you move.

Re: Random segmentation fault on Linux 32 bit with old compu
One diferent fact for me is that on a more recent computer, using 32bit build, I don't crash.
I think that a graphic related problem because I can't run more than 5 seconds ingame without the "low graphic mode".

Re: [?] ... [0.8.8] ... [0.9.2] .... [?] Crashes on linux 32
This should be solved in 0.9.5.
I have no idea what I'm talking about.
