Re: Help from experienced modders to create a hidden lightning rod

For a better example of compound entity management, look at how Shortwave Fixed radios work, and how Cargo Ships oil rigs work.

Re: Request for Maritime logistics

Cargo Ships is alive and well. Oil Rigs are an optional feature in it :). Cargo Ships even includes an API so other mods can add new ships that use the same mechanics. All you need are the graphics models.

... called Cargo Ships originally, but think it got merged with another mod - Oil rigs or something?

It is basically trains on water. Rails are rendered as a shipping lane (a plain thin line, but placed like rails) and otherwise functions identically, but of course no wagons.

Compatibility with Cargo Ships deep sea oil

The Cargo Ships mod includes oil deposits that spawn in water for extraction by oil rigs and ships. I need some advice for how to improve this and how to ensure compatibility with RSO. I recently took over maintaining the scripts, and this was my first attempt at resource modifications.

Before my ...
