Why does the bot even try to perform an action that is guaranteed to lead to its destruction? Either force the bots to always stay within safe distance from roboports or just don't let them take tasks where estimated energy requirement is too high.

Worms? Two choices really: distractor bots or laser tower creep.

With distractors, you sometimes need seriously insane amount of them because they keep dying dying dying so fast...

EDIT: I just tested and hit&run with a bunch of poison capsules seems to do wonders against worms too...

The problem is that the textures are taking way too much VRAM already, higher resolution textures would make it impossible to keep everything loaded at the same time. So, the game would need to start loading textures on demand and that'd require quite a lot of engine changes. If not done properly, y...

You ... destroy the trees? But they reduce pollution! I'm trying very hard to keep forests up and only harvest the minimum amount needed :)

If you could make forests, pollution control would be way too easy... maybe if the pollution mechanics were changed too, but that's starting to sound like a major revamp of the game mechanics already. Greenhouses of some kind might work, but I don't really like the idea of renewable building materia...

I don't even look at the clock when I play, going slow is fine. A lot of people like to use 3-4 electric miners and 6 smelters per resources, but that generates quite a bunch of pollution which attracts enemies and means you have to spend more resources on defense. trains aren't really necessary though, neither is using those bases at end of the tracks. if you take down some enemy spawners you can get your resources from the other extra fields...

Hmm. You have seem to have two display adapters, AMD Radeon HD 6800 which goes for 1080p display (TV?) and then there's AMD Radeon HD 6550D (integrated and not in use? Or is this a laptop? what? Somehow it's getting your screen resolution wrong. Try editing config.ini to run the game in windowed mode, maybe that works?

I think bots flying in the air should attract enemies over long distances. Under the current mechanics that means flying bots should generate pollution, enough pollution that excessive use of bots would call in enemies over ridiculous distances...
