This definitely looks cool! The beam should have a similar graphic to the bots' lasers.
Also the new fire spreading mechanic will make it interesting!

Re: Friday Facts #125 - Achievements
Haha! More HG2G references in the achievements please :D  I LOVE the fire! It really makes Factorio more like a finished game (along with removing all the temporary sprites!) As far as the achievements go, I think you should move away from having an achievement popping up for things which requi...

Re: Friday Facts #123 - Better circuit network (Part 2)
Great ideas there! I am looking forwards to this a lot   One thing though, could you make it so that for a few weeks after the features are introduced, wires can still be directly connectible to their old entities. However, when you disconnect the wire, you cannot link it back without usin...

Re: Friday Facts #121 - Path Finder Optimisation II
I would love to see the bitters actually try to find paths like ants do :-) What might be an idea is to create 'paths' on the sections where biters walk the most (a bit like animal runs https://littlesundog.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/narrow-animal-path.jpg ) This would make it more realistic and i...

Whoo! The eight legged surprise is here! I know it is place-holder graphics but it would really suit Factorio if the legs did look a bit like inserters for the final graphics!
P.S. That mod looks interesting...

Using theme art for wallpaper!
Hello!
It's been a while since I posted something so I thought I'd share this:
I set my phone wallpaper to be the menu background theme art and it looks epic!

Re: Peace with Aliens
Could you not have different tribes of biters who may or may not get along with each other - if you please one tribe, it could defend you if you were attacked by another! The tribes could be distinguished by different coloured tinges?

Re: Steam Workshop Suggestion for Blueprint Books
I donno about steam workshop support. One of the reason I bought and played the game was to find out what the late-game techs are like, even though then are (or were, on my first playthough), 50hrs down the road. Having the option to quickly jump to a map where you can have a perfect base with all ...

I think steam workshop support for Factorio would be amazing! Buleprints, maps, mods - there are so many possibilities especially if it could be built into the game!

The track pathfinder is AMAZING!!!
It makes so much sense to put in but I had never thought of it before! Now we need to mod that code with the train momentum code to have self driving cars! Somebody do that please!
Great work Devs - as always you keep the amazing work coming!

Re: [0.12.17] Construction robots trees should be gathered first
They should. It's all cool if you use logistic network robots. These are personal roboport robots. So you can't use too many of them at time, Not with large projects. So it low prio bug (nuisance). Definitely a problem with personal bots - sometimes it isn't even worth using them! This should be fi...

I don't even care about this game.
In my 'professional' opinion, the noise algorithm they should use is the "I don't know what I'm doing exactly, but it seems to work" hash as it sounds like the most reliable option...

Re: Opinion on Fuel cubes?
I'm currently playing a map that has plenty of oil patches, so I used an entire oil patch just for my backup power supply. In the below image, pumpjacks are at the top, refineries and chemical plants pumping out solid fuel are below that, and then below that I have a solid fuel buffer which consist...
