Re: only 50 FPS with vsync activated

Graphics settings take effect only after the game is started again. If you turn off vsync and restart the game, do you still experience shutter at game.speed=1? Didn't realize I had to restart the game, sorry. :) Turning off vsync and restarting locks me in at 60/60 instead of about 53/59 and runs ...

Re: only 50 FPS with vsync activated

There is no artificial cap on multiplayer map speed. What is fixed is the amount of network updates (that is 60/s) however that still allows for higher game speeds than 1. But it still puzzles me why not aligning to vsync (done by changing game speed to slightly > 1) fixes the stutters. I have expe...

I'm still capping around 55fps in 0.12.1 unless I do game.speed=1.0001. However unplugging my 2nd monitor didn't make a difference. So my issue might not be related to this original bug report's issue, maybe two unrelated issues.

Combined power output tooltip

When you are looking at your power window and point at your stack of power producers on the right hand side, such as here: http://puu.sh/jgFqR/a7ae69019c.jpg It's be nice for an extra line in the tooltip to read "Combined Power Output: 11.76MW". (Rounded off however you prefer.) Then witho...

Re: only 50 FPS with vsync activated

This is interesting. I mean the fact that slightly raising game speed stabilises the fps/ups. Thanks for the report. The thing is that if game.speed is anything else than exactly 1 the engine doesn't try to "align to the vsync". The vsync is still there though (the render thread will be f...

The only mod I was using is RSO. However I do tend to alt-tab a lot when playing Factorio or any game really.

Re: [0.12.0][Twinsen] Miscolored text at times

I've not seen it again since posting this report. If it happens again I'll try to figure out why. It shouldn't matter, but the initial games I did were multiplayer and I've only been playing solo since then.

Re: [0.12.1] Strange inserter/splitter loading issue

Same behavior with the buffer system in place. Bottom two inserters don't run. You can see ore sticking out of the splitter on bottom though. http://puu.sh/jdxuI/4e9a7d1c62.jpg It isn't an issue of being short of ore on the lower half, if you remove top splitter still nothing. http://puu.sh/jdxy1/c6...

[0.12.1] Strange inserter/splitter loading issue

Please see the attached save game file. http://puu.sh/jdxgQ/3ed1bc171a.jpg When I put 2 splitters there that the fast inserters are going to grab from, only the top 2 were working. I checked the F5 debug hitboxes and they should be able to load the train. Where it gets more odd is if you put a split...

If you can edit the topic name you might change the game version number up to the latest you've been able to reproduce the bug.

Re: [0.12.0] FPS/UPS Capping at 40 periodically - dual screen

Yay for this thread. Yay. I've been locked in with a max fps of 55 which causes a slight stutter when running. Annoying enough I finally started search around. The game.speed change fixed it right up for me. I also have a 2nd monitor cable connected (to my TV set which isn't on or in use). My graphi...

Re: Version 0.12.0

Why is there that slider to begin with? Wouldn't you always want that latency to be as low as possible?? Why even give the option to manually increase latency? If actual latency goes higher than the setting, the game will freeze until it catches up. You lock in a latency slightly higher than it rea...

[0.12.0][Twinsen] Miscolored text at times

Here's a screenshot. The number 0 in stacks always shows grey instead of white, and there were a few letters that would also show discolored at times but I didn't take extra screenshots of those.

Re: Friday Facts #91 - Being the evil guy

I just want a very few simple things: 1. The ability to measure how full a given Tank is, expressed as a percentage. I can then put all my various Tanks in equilibrium, Crude Oil, Heavy, Light, Petrol Gas, Acid, Lube, and measure on one of each. 2. The ability to measure how full of energy any give...

Re: Friday Facts #91 - Being the evil guy

This is the nature of playing a game in alpha. Features will keep getting added until the game is no longer in alpha. If people can't handle partial feature rollouts they should wait for the game to release and buy a finished product. :)

Manual crafting, 2 suggestions

Example annoyance: You are crafting a few long items, say 5 Speed Module 3s, by hand. All prior items are made, you just need to make the 3s themselves. You decide you only want 4 instead of 5. The one it's working on is 90% completed. So you click it, the # to make does drop to 4 but the 90% comple...

Thanks! I'd never have guessed that was what Syntax was referring to since I've not heard of D before. :)
