[0.11.14] [kovarex] Crash on redimensionning Factorio window
Hi, I have a consistent crash I have been able to reproduce 100% so far now that I know how to trigger it. Here's the context : When I launch Factorio, it always starts with a small 1300x762 resolution (since ever). I opened a thread about that, but the solutions I was given were not satisfacting me...

Re: Game stops for autosave - thoughts?
I must admit I really prefered the previous behaviour. Especially when I'm deconstructing something, and the area I was selecting unselects because I was deconstructing at the precise moment the autosave would fire. Before, I bearly noticed the autosave, just a momentary stutter of the game, and tha...

Re: Version 0.11.14
I now have a progression bar and a window flashing a fraction of a second at what I assume is the autoave. Is this intended ? I don't remember seeing that in 0.11.13, and there is nothing in the changelog on that.

Re: Actual length of game night?
I just measured with my stopwatch, and these are the values I have measured (quite approximative, I'm aware of it) : phase stopwatch duration (mm:ss) duration(sec) dusk 01:27 01:27 87 night 02:04 00:37 37 dawn 03:33 01:29 89 day 06:57 03:24 204 Couldn't find anything in a changelog about that change...

[0.11.13] No trees when "Water only in starting area"
I have been trying for hours to get trees in a new map with "Only in starting area" water setting. I have never managed to get normal trees with that setting. I did get some with other water settings, but never with "Water only in starting area". There are dead tree doodads, but ...

Yeah I agree with ssilk. Moreover, we would have an idea, if we want to free the load of the logistic robots, what items would need to be managed differently (storage closer to their usage, more of that item on belts, ...

Re: The most useless thing in game.
don't forget that burner inserters use up 1 coal for 13 moves, thus spoiling 7.7% of the coal the boilers are fed with. OK when you have millions of coal in your storage, it's little. But I don't like spoiling

Re: The most useless thing in game.
The things I consider as useless (for my play style) : Basic modular armor (always go for the MK1 directly) personal solar panel If you're short on alien artifacts, then your only choice is to use these. They're not useless in and of themselves, just situationally useful. The personal solar panels ...

Personal opinion : I don't edit the map. If I chose settings on the start, I deal with them If I can't, it's a sign I was too ambitious.

Yesssss +1000 on this one :) I was too lazy to post, but I would definitely love to see this behaviour in the game. If I may add : when multiple stacks are present (in hotbar + in the backpack, consume first the stacks from backpack. ie : Always have a full stack in the hotbar when carrying more tha...

This is totally incredible. Watched the replay ... Wow.
However, if I may criticize, peaceful mode does help a lot. When you care neither the defenses, nor the pollution, you can go really faster.
But I don't deny it, even in peaceful, I'd be unable to such an achievement.

Re: Friday Facts #70 The smooth fps
There are two factors a developper can not really control : The player's hardware, and the size of the factory (plus the zoom level the player can achieve, ok for three :)). You have to make some hypothesis, and put some limites in the form of : - With that hardware - With that many objects in the f...

Re: Yay, I finished the game......
... in 65.5 hours, lol, so I suppose that's a pretty poor effort If you tried a speedrun, that would indeed be perfectible . My first game lasted around 75h, and I didn't even dare give a try to trains and rails, which seemed too complicated to me. I didn't build the rocket launcher either...

Re: Mass insert/removal of modules
Hmmm yeah I see what you mean. As far as you usually build your factory before you get access to most of the modules, you would anyway have to manually replace the "without" modules facilities by whatever configuration you want them to have ... after that, you usually have access to bluepr...
