If it's light, this could be related to the light slowness bug.

I can confirm that this problem only seems to happen on my Linux x64 with AMD 6850 and fglrx beta from about 6 months ago. It doesn't happen on my linux 32 bit with fglrx and a low end old card.

I have encountered this issue on 0.9.4, I have less than 10 lamps but the FR drops a huge amount.

Actually, to use the savefile provided, you just have to move and you'll crash.
