[1.1.39] Sound fails to initalize upon startup.

I got on Factorio today expecting to have a good time, but then I find out the sound isn't working and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to fix it. This happens all the time upon start up. Please help!

Restart your system, if that does not help, reinstall your sound device driver, if that does not help, post your dxdiag output.

Thanks for your help. Turns out my drivers were outdated...
