I just noticed how weird the trees seem in the sand, I think that there should be just some dry trees or palms, and not big spots.

Also forest generation should scatter the trees a bit more, they are so near, beeing lots of trees inside of the forest and just a bunch outside.

bluecube is working on more configurable map generator settings that should allow this.
