[0.5.1] 2 copper wires per time bug or feature?

Could it be, that the inserters can move 2 copper wires at the same time?
I produce advanced electric circuits. 3 factories in a triangle:
When I count it, the inserter from copper-w. to electric c. moves 2 times per e.c. The inserter from copper-wire to a.e.c. moves 3 times.
This is only explainable, if the inserters can grab 2 items per move.
