[5.0] Logistics chests have negative values

When I take stuff out of a logistics chest manually, it starts showing a negative number in the total count for that item. Robots stopped picking up from my coal chests because I think they thought there was a negative amount of coal in them even when they were full because I had been taking from them manually. I picked up the chests and put them down and they started supplying coal normally. This might have happened because I replaced a replaced normal chests by putting logistics chests on top of them instead of picking them up before placing the new ones. I don't really know.

Can you try to reproduce and work out step-by-step way to reproduce?

I guess that this is related to one of the bugs repaired in 0.5.1.
1) Rebuilding common chest to logistic chest was bugged
2) Shift/ctrl clicking of items that can't all fit into the character inventory.
In existing save, it is needed to rebuild the chest to fix the state.

I had a similar issue in 5.1.
When a chest had only one item in it, and a bot with upgraded storage got tasked to pick it up. Then the counter ( I don't remember if it was logistics amount or wire amount) changed from 1 to -2.
Edit: I remembered wrong. Just reproduced it:

If you have an inserter unloading a provider box, then this happens.
The bot reserves those 4 turrets, and then the inserter takes out the original turret, so you are left with -4 turrets.

The negative number can be correct in some cases.
As you described, if there is just 1 item, and robot with capacity of 4 goes there to pick it up, the storage count is -3 and it is correct.
This means, that even after adding 3 more items, no more robots will be assigned.
Once the robot gets there and picks the item, the number should get to 0 again.
If the only robot headed there gets there and pick it, and it stays negative, it would be bug.
Edit: I checked that, and yes, in the moment the robot gets there, and tries to pickup items, it is correct again.
