Before this update, I would open the menu with tab, then close the menu with tab. This can no longer be done, I tried rebinding some of the keys to tab. The only way to close the inventory is with escape, I tried rebinding escape to tab, but that did not fix my issue. I don't know if this is just a problem with me, or if this is a documented problem. I am very new to this game, I just bought it about a month ago

I don't know if I should delete this, but I was able to fix it by changing "confirm window" to tab. It's weird that it defaulted tab as open character screen, but it's "e" to close the character screen.

Works fine for me, moving to technical help.

The default keybinding for both open and close character screen is E.
During development of 1.1, the internals were changed a bit.
I am not even sure that before 1.1 there was a separate keybinding for "Close window". It might be that the game was just using whatever was "Open character screen" to also "Close current window"

I believe that this internal change did not get updated correctly with your custom binding, and since 1.1 is stable now, this is what you observed.
