"Count Blueprint"

First, thank You for adding Upgrade BP as i asked <3
But now i got another great idea for NEW Blueprint ^_^...

btw. ty. for Warrning for "Fun Idea" boring kid :P...

anywaa...

as Title says "Count Blueprint"
TL:DR -> It tells you how many objects is inside selected Area ( including things like Oil Sources )
( +Alternate Mod -> How big is selected Area - show in Blocks X and Y )

normaly when i want to upgrade some of my Structures im using normal ( Blue ) Blueprint to see how many Inserters, belts etc. i need
and ofc. Blue Blueprint works rly great... however... it can't help in situation like this:
Image
When u want to upgrade: xD
So i need:
- 2 stacks of Belts
- 2 Stacks of underground belts
- 1 stack of Spliters
Inserters already blue :o....
Image

When i want to build new Oil i need to count all little purple dots first to know how many Pumpjacks and Mods i need
Blue Blueprint cna't select things like Oil Sources :(... Yes i know i can use something like Supply Spider or Supply Train
and tbh. im using them but its fki*(% annoying when you are missing ONE pipe or ONE pumpjack or ONE pole...

and You have to return to base for that ONE or TWO items that are missing... i pref to count how much i need before i go and build

Also... it would be cool if u add "Alternative Mode" for Count Blueprint when You press ALT Count BP tells you
how big in blocks selected area is, normaly i just select BP and im trying to GUESS how much i can build
Image
On SS You have my Eden Atomic Power Plant, it have 34 blocks height so if i select lake with Count Blueptint witl ALT Mode
and if BP shows for example 163x128 blocks size then i know that i can 163 / 34 = 4,794117647058824
fit only 4 rows of my BP here, so i don't have to guess which place is better ^_^...

So, let's say "Yellow Blueprint" that count for You everything
- How many Inserters, belts, AMSs u need for "that Area"
- How many Oil Sources You have here
- How BIG this area is ( in ALT Mode )
( it could also count Trees so u can know how many Atomic Bombs u need xDD - yes BAN me for that little joke u kid xD )

I think, that this is very taxing to read. I believe, the idea would be more appreciated, if you'd follow the template and reduce unnecessary details and jokes ;)

Hm, in this case I agree:

This is more than one suggestion (count number of oil springs, see size of blueprints in blocks, needed items for upgrade? I’m not sure if I miss one), the title is misleading (I thought first about counting how many blueprints someone has), the style is ok, jokes are ok, but I would prefer it more direct.

The ideas are quite ok, but cannot discussed like so.

I use this post to explain it more deeply: I don’t read such suggestion in detail and when it’s not simple enough to understand it after one or two minutes I just let it go; there are more than enough suggestions that take less time.
Sorry, sounds a bit harsh, is not meant so, just neutral tone, but I think as moderator I need to say such things from time to time.

I recommend to read viewtopic.php?f=6&t=47316
and linked subjects, spread this suggestion into many and try again. ;)

Ssilk it is just one Suggestion :D
New BP -> Yellow Count Blueprint

No need to split topic into 3 :x...

TL:DR ( again )
Yellow Blueprint That count objects inside

"Regular" select Mode:
- show how many objects is inside ( including Oil Fields, Buildings etc. )

"Alt Mode" select: ( just when user hold ALT Key :3 )
- Show how big is selected Area

I usually use the deconstruction tool or a blueprint for this. Most of the time I actually have a deconstruction planner in my inventory which is set to ghosts only, so I can quickly check what I am missing in a certain area.

You can set red print to ghosts? How???
I'm not able to check that rn :c

But if that's true, then it's rly amazing ▪︎,▪︎

Still... you don't see how big is selected area...
And I think u dint have solution for that xd

And you can select "neutral buildings" like oil field xd
+ I think count print should be able to count other things like for example amount of bitters nest's in selected area

So you know how much you need arty to clear them all :D

But that just quick idea xd
When I want to clear bitters I'm using nukes...
No time to build stupid arty train xd

Helicopters mod + nukes = ... well... apocalypse is not describing it enough xd

Heli can shoot around 2/3 nukes every sec xddd

Right click on the deconstruction planner. Click on an empty slot. Click on the cardboard box icon on the right side (it’s called “other” in the tooltip I believe). Select the ghost icon.
