Hello everyone,

I have been experiencing crashes lately with my game with or without mods. I do not know how to read the log file and would greatly appreciate it if someone could help. I'm running the most up to date Chipset/Display Drivers as will as the latest BIOS for my system.

I only have an XMP profile loaded. Otherwise nothing.

The strange thing is I didn't change anything and was able to play for 200ish hours without any issues. Only the last 50ish hours I have been experiencing these strange crashes( I am new to Factorio and have only about 250 hours in).

If you haven't changed anything, and we haven't changed anything. Then the issue isn't with the game or your software configuration. So the issue has to be with the hardware.

In all of the reports/posts i've seen with people having these crashes on (mostly - but not all) Ryzen systems it has always come down to faulty hardware. RAM, CPU, bad overclocks.

So with that said; you're out of luck. You can try disabling the XMP profile and see if it changes anything. But all past experiences say the issue sits somewhere with your hardware.

you might wanna use a PSU tester and verify the rails are outputting their rated current at correct voltage. dirty power causes bsod.

I only experience crashes with Factorio and only the last week and a half. I dont know where the idea of bsod's came from but haven't not had any issues with any other games or programs. I guess I will resort to trying a fresh install.
