Rare Bug

ive searched all over the bug forums, but cant find an answer. im using factorio 0.10.5, and this happened before i updated, to. when i press generate to make a new game, it says "at least one tile type must be allowed", yet all i are 3 options for generating... i need help on this one. I've been able to fix games, such as minecraft, so that it wouldn't crash, but this doesn't even crash! it just gives me that message and doesn't do anything else! doesn't even generate the world!

and, yes, i did try uninstalling it then re-installing it.

Try updating to newest version, 0.10.12 or newest experimental update, 0.11.18.

Didn't you disable the base mod?

ok, i checked, and the base mod was diabled. ill try now.

Because the base game is just a set of entities and behaviour that runs inside the Factorio engine.
It's some kind of reference implementation but can entirely be replaced by something different.
Actually kudos for the devs for planning it this way.
