Annoyingly takes away real estate. Can't find any option. Can't find a close box.

HELP ME OBI-WAN, YOU'RE MY ONLY HOPE!

(I'm a *bit* annoyed at this, and starting to get pissed off… the "we have to twiddle with the UI" disease I always dread and that *EVERYONE* falls victim to)

I was serching for an option, too, but didn't fond ome also.

But if you mark all the tips as read then the new tips window will close.

If you don't want new tips&tricks reminder popping up, you have two options:

1. Follow the first tip and type "/unlock-tips" in the console. This will just unlock all tips&tricks and you can read them at your leisure.
2. Deactivate Settings → Interface → Show tutorial notifications. This will still cause new tips&tricks to get unlocked as you go, but you will not be notified anymore.

Beware: I realized that applying the second option while a tutorial notification is shown causes the latter to freeze in place.

Why isn't there a simple 'x' button on the window to close it?

I've played this game for years, and I still had to come to the forum to find a way to close it... Turning off tutorial notices ought to have done it at least, but even that's not enough.

I've got the same problem. I can't seem to figure out how to close the window, or even how to "mark the tips as read" (as another poster suggested as a workaround).

To mark them as read, you currently have to confirm every single one, one at a time.

But if you untick Settings > Interface > Show tutorial notifications, they won't trouble you again.

Checkbox to untick has new label now: "Show tips and tricks notifications"
