This really applies more in multiplayer than single player but would be nice to have.
1. Player Steejo was killed by a train
2. Player Bentham was killed by Shen
3. Player Shen was put 6' under by spitters
etc.
You could have some real fun with these but not making them serious. I would think it would be easy to implement and a nice little addition to the game.

Player Arumba was never killed because he never leaves the base.

replace the mini map with a snapshot of the death scene for 3 seconds while you're at it.

I'd prefer death messages that don't need a translation. Nothing against a little humor in there but don't go all the way to GTA.

Hello ! I'd like to up this thread, and also add one little thing : a small delay between death and death message popup. When killed by train, i often feel like 2 seconds of "What ? A bug ? Oh, no, ok, I'm dead".
The screen could darken a little within 2 secs, and then the message appear.
EDIT : Although, the "death jingle" wouldn't be delayed.
