Low FPS on server

Hello,
Me and my cuz have been playing factorio for a long time now and really enjoy it.
After many hours have we created a somewhat big "thing". Problem is: We are running into very low fps.
He is the host and have a powerhouse of a computer (i9, best graphic cards etc) still run at about 40 fps.
I have a laptop (i7, 1060 graphic card, 16gb ram). We are on 100mbit connection.
We have tried removing alot of belts, going for bots.
Tried removing roll on roll off stations and going for slower stopping stations.
Still we run into this issues. Right now we play the game at 0,2 speed and I have about 5 fps. Its not really enjoyable

Please, if anyone of you who have played on bigger maps can help it it would be sooo much appreciated!
