The main body of the crashed ship disappeared during my game. I didn't reclaim any resources or the ammo. I was hoping to keep the crash intact as a decoration to build around. However at some point the main body of the spaceship was gone even though the rest of the wreckage is still present.

I imagine it is also possible biters got it since I am playing deathworld marathon with the smallest starting position so I have been fighting off waves of biters since 15 minutes into the game? So the question is does the ship disappear every game or is it possible for it to survive late into the game?

I'm 14 hours into my game and the spaceship is still there, and has pride of place in the middle of my factory, although it is now walled in and biter free

Thanks for the reply. Good to know that I need to protect it from the biters. It shall be a new goal for the early game to try and keep it intact.

The ship and the other wreck remnants don't disappear on their own, but they can be mined or destroyed.
