I tried launching Factorio on Steam today and I keep getting this popup I have been playing about a week or so ago and I did not have any issues. I unistalled and reinstalled the game but still keep getting the error. I am attaching both factorio-current.log and factorio-previous.log.

What to do? Thanks!

Those logs are old. Restart your system, verify the game cache through steam, start the game again, if it crashes again, post the new logs.

I did restart my systems and I was surprised that the date stamp on the files did not change. I tried renaming it, relaunched and was hoping that a new log file will be created but it did not.

I also did an integrity check of the files on Steam and it looks like everything is good. I also tried switching to a Beta version 0.18.47 and the game worked.

I will try and restart my system again and check the logs again if it generated new ones.

I did a complete shutdown and went to the logs folder. I noticed that the factorio-current.log file is now timestamped to today's date. So I opened it up, and the logs are from when I switched to Beta version 0.18.47.

I opened up Steam and made sure that Factorio is now set to version 1.0.0. Started the game and got the same popup. I clicked yes and it does not even show the contents of the log file. It just sits there for a couple of seconds and the popup closes. I looked at the task manager and Factorio was not running.

I am attaching the factorio-current.log but I am not sure it would help as it contains the log when for the Beta version.

Oh! I'm attaching the saved game file as well.

Try starting it with all anti virus software completely disabled.

For some reason after the update, the anti-virus removed the application from the unblocked list.
