[0.11.16] Picking up line of transport belts over ore patch

There is a feature where to pick up e.g. a transport belt, you hold down the right mouse button and move, and the game will make sure you pause just enough to pick up everything.
However, when a transport belt runs over an ore patch, after picking up a single belt item, the player will keep on mining the ore. This is never what you want if you are using the hold-mouse-button-and-move feature.

True, this has been a problem for a long time(also happens with walls) but I don't think bug, more a feature request.

This isn't a bug, and its not new to 0.11.16.

Of course it is a bug.
A bug is something that doesn't work according to specification. Factorio probably doesn't have a specification, but since this no sane specification would have this behavior, then it is fair to call it a bug.

But it does work. When you hold the mouse over an ore patch it's meant to mine the patch. That's standard behaviour.
What you're saying is, if you're mining belts in a line and you come across ore, you want it to ignore the ore and continue mining the belts. That's a feature request.
That aside, this is a known issue and the devs have stated they're going to implement a way to avoid it, soon(tm).

Not a bug.
Right click means "mine", see the control settings in your game.
Buildings and structures are
mined and then put in your inventory. That's the reason your pickaxe has an effect on how quick you can deconstruct (mine) buildings.
So if you run along and hold the right mouse button depressed, your character will stop and start to mine as soon as there is something to mine on that field. Be it a building like a belt or a resource field.
After all, you
are supposed to be able to mine ore fields with your pickaxe.
So it works as designed. That design however can change. But then it's a feature request.
