[0.17.79] Crash on start: "GraphicsInterfaceDX11::swapBuffers"

Hi, whenever I try to load the game it hangs on the 0% with the "loading mods", like image above.

It's a laptop, fresh windows install from three ours ago there's nothing installed besides steam (factorio, company of heroes, and fallout new vegas), firefox, libreoffice and drivers.
windows 10 pro V2004 OS BUILD 19041.329
cpu i7 4510u w/ integrated hd graphics
8gb ram
gpu nvidia 740m w/ windows driver 353.62

No discord, steam overlay is off.
I had RTSS and MSI afterburner installed but they have been removed.

Some other games are working fine like fallout new vegas, company of heroes + blitzkrieg mod, it seems unnecessary information but sometimes it's dedicated gpu (common issue with vostros 5470's) just disappears and then many games will crash or run poorly.
I've got around 800 hours in the game and around 300 were played in this same laptop (so it used to work and run pretty decently), BUT, yesterday I replaced the whole motherboard for a new (exact the same model/version) one, fresh windows install etc like described above, but the game won't load.

Same issue happens loading the game from steam, or, if installed by downloading from factorio website.

Thanks for the report. It's crashing because some external software is hooking into the game renderer to add an overlay and is doing it wrong. The log shows you have C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server\RTSSHooks64.dll which is a known software that causes this problem. Other things could be Discord (if you have it installed) or anything else that overlays stuff on the game.

That was really dumb from my part, I've updated the 1st post with that information.

But, I did not work. I've uninstalled RTSS and MSI Afterburner, wiped related regs, deleted folders, reboot windows, but same error, follows attached a new log from trying to load without having RTSS and MSI Afterburner installed.

Update your graphics driver and if that does not do it, try if deactivating steam overlay helps.

Newer (not newest) driver did the trick, I hope the gpu won't vanish, which is what happens when not using windows driver.
