A search turned up nothing so here goes.

This happened a handful of times:


The overview map is completely black, also the minimap.
Overlays like pollution, trains and stations are visible.

After some time and after some running around the map reappears sometimes block by block but never restores itself fully.

Sometimes this happens, I have no idea what is the reason, as for some reason the game lost the video sprites, but wasn't noticed. Resizing the screen or alt-tabbing there and back will force the game to refresh the map.

just to get a translation here, is "1 / 0 magic" the same as "wontfix" ?

It means: Might fix if we know more about the problem. Or when we get convinced it is not magic but something fixable.

Will keep my eyes open and report back in case I find something.

Strangely enough, this just happened to me (latest v.14.20, bobsmods, naturalevolutionenemies mods loaded up).

Resumed a save game, the entire map was black. Anything I explore isn't showing up, but anything radar pings is. No idea why, but makes navigating a bit of a challenge.

It's a bit late now, I just kept on playing and said "meh, radar will catch up eventually "

In Bug Reports obviously, but only if it happens again/is reproducible.

Still getting it. Now that I know what causes it it isn't as annoying, but it still happened. This is in single player. I loaded my game, and then maximized the screen while loading. Minimap and megamap both black.


Interestingly, Radar slowly reveals it, when it scans the chunks.

pro tip: Resizing the window refreshes the map
