Coal does not use the ore sound.

I see what you're saying however. I'm not sure the actual difference, but when walking on ore it seems to have a dull almost echo to the footstep sound, and when walking on coal there seems to be a much more distinct and crisp "crunch" sound.
I'm not aware of coal/ore have different "walking on resource" sounds, but I'd prefer if walking on the other ores sounded more like coal.

Yay, they fixed it with today's 18.27! Walking-on-ore-sound now works on all ore patches.
