I, I request a very simple mod : Eclipse.

Just a mod who create Eclipse (ie no day) randomly about 1 time from 5.
So solar power pannel will not work and problem could append

a day/night cycle from factorio is about 7 mins so it's will create a eclipse twice a hour.

Could be add partial eclise on second time.

Not sure about ecplise in particular but the day-night-cycle could really do with some randomness.
Something like weather could help with that. Throw in some rain or a thunderstorm every now and then, that could halfen the power output of solar panels.
Also several-day-long seasons could influence the lenth of daytime (plus make for some pretty fancy weather-graphics, like fog).
Or maybe just simply randomize the length of the parts of the day within a certain margin.
