Hold "Tile Build Area"-Keys for expansing/reducing the Tile Brush Size / Resize flooring/landfill brushes by press/hold

Simple User Interface Stuff. I constantly have to spam the Numpad-Plus and Numpad-Minus Keys (according to my own Keybinds) to increase and decrease the Brush Size of placing Concrete or Landfill, and it just goes on my nerves that I have to hammer those keys instead of just doing a press and hold for a bit to adjust the size of the Brush.

This should ofcourse not affect the granularity of pressing the Key once for a short moment. ^^

Or just support shift+scroll wheel instead of the clunky key thing.

Why not both then? It does not have to be an instead.

And holding a Key to spam-use it is a Feature many Games support for stuff like this, heck even Text Editors allow that, such as the Forum itself. Just press and hold F and you get fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ;)

The scroll wheel works for me, I have it on alt-scroll up/down

I did not check if the Scrollwheel thing was actually "not supported" since it was unrelated to my Suggestion, but still, some people have other more frequently used stuff mapped to their Modifier-Key + Scrollwheel (like Rotate for example), so they cant just do the default like changing the selected Blueprint in a Blueprint Book. ^^

Also side note: I know it sounds ridiculous but some people do not have a Scrollwheel at all. Especially Touchpad users. ;)

Double side note: I did not think of using Shift+Scrollwheel myself and will likely use that when I boot up the Game next time. Unlike most people I do have enough Buttons on my G502 for such a thing to work. :D

I someone managed to forget that keys can be reassigned. Thanks for the wake-up call. That works very nicely. Topic can be closed as far as i'm concerned .

Binding rotate to the wheel sounds interesting. But that would be easily solvable: don't rotate entities when you're holding concrete. Situational awareness isn't difficult and could even be modded.

[sarcasm] My G600 laughts at your pityful attempt of hardware bragging. [/sarcasm]

Hehe, nice Mouse. I do have a Corsair Scimitar too, but its lack of onboard Memory is annoying, so I use it for other Stuff.

Binding rotate to Scrollwheel and also the Tile Brush to Scrollwheel too, is not a good Idea. Hazard Concrete can actually be rotated!

I did bind Rotate to Mouse-4 or the "Backward" Button on the Mouse (yes I only rotate things clockwise, and "Forward" is shoot Enemy), and Shift+Scrollwheel does work well with the Tile Brush for me.

But back to topic, would still be nice if whichever Binding you use did not require your hardware/operatingsystem to spam a signal like a Mousewheel does. ;)

Resize flooring/landfill brushes by pressing and holding

TL;DR
I want to be able to change the size of the landfill brush by pressing and holding +/-, rather than having to press it repeatedly for each step
What ?
When putting down landfill (or bricks, concrete or other flooring), changing between a very small brush (eg, for decorative hazard concrete) and a very large brush (to cover a big area with normal concrete or landfill) is frustrating because you have to press the + or - keys repeatedly to change the size. Going from 1x1 to 20x20 requires 19 button presses. It would be nice to be able to hold the key down and have it auto-repeat, like it would if you were typing.

I'm playing a lot of Space Exploration at the moment, so I notice this particularly with space scaffolding and spaceship floor, but the same issue applies to vanilla with landfill or flooring. I also use long-reach, so I can place a large chunk down in one go by hand, however this would also apply to adding large areas to be placed by bots, so it's not just relevant to modded.
Why ?
Being able to just hold the key down and have the brush grow/shrink would feel more user friendly and remove a minor irritation from play.

{edit}
I have just found this thread which talks about rebinding the terrain brush adjustments to ctrl+mousewheel, which is a massive improvement, but not quite what I was looking for. I shall use this as an interim step, however.
