Biters eat pollution?

Do biters actually eliminate pollution? I knew trees and earth did. I shut down as much coal powered stuff as I could when I built nuclear but have only had a modest pull back of pollution.

I used a blueprint to create a factory, but now my factory has blue triangle icons in the center of each assembler hiding what is being made. It says right mouse button to eliminate the request but it doesn't go away.

The blueprint included modules. That triangle is the request for them.

Its too bad I can't research some colorful wall that the biters can't eat. Build a pen and fill it with biter eggs and let them absorb pollution in deforested, heavily polluted areas.

Biters don't. Nests absorb some pollution. But also use it to create biters. And they no longer absorb to the point of stopping the cloud like they used to.

Usually you shouldn't worry too much about pollution. Except earlier on on deathworlds. Just make sure your defenses are up to the task. There are some cases where efficiency modules make sense, but it's situational, like putting them into miners at a remote outpost so you don't have to defend it much
