Suggestion for the loading screen.

It takes awhile to load. That's fine. But estimate the time or number of ticks each section will take, then normalize the progress bar to the total number of ticks.

That way, it won't hang up for long periods of time and the user will feel like something is always happening.

(You can do this even if you're waiting for a resource to become available if you estimate how long you think it will take for the resource to become available.)

It took 13 seconds to load to the main menu for me in 0.17.79 from a cold start (first ever launch) of the game. If it's taking longer than that for you, I think you might have PC issues.

13 seconds is not long.
