Today I Learned...

Today, while toying with the idea of an all burner steel smeltery (foundry?) I learned that you can insert fuel into the side/center of a burner inserter. I always thought you had to self-load them from a belt.

Crazy.

And, here is my first attempt at an all burner steel mill.

My experience (years ago) was the opposite. I originally thought that I had to load coal into burner inserters from miners or other burner inserters.

You can imagine the crazy things I tried with miners direct loading into inserters, but it's best to not try to recreate them.
