TL;DR
Factorio is a game about destroing the environment (partially). Let it not become real life
What ?
Change stuff around the office, e.g.:
- buy electricity from renewable engergy supplier to power servers ect.
- investigate in possibilites for more efficient heating/insulation
- don't do short distance flights or don't do flights at all
- encourage staff to use public transport/bycicle
- get more ideas
bonus:
- get a pro to help you and become carbon-neutral by certificate
- let the world know that you are an awesome team and care about everyones future
Why ?
useful links:
earth temperature
IPCC

+1
Very neat idea. Destroying the environment in Factorio should be sufficient. No need to do it irl.

or instead of any of the above
- invent and/or promote power-positive industrial-scale fusion reactors

The problem is consumption. We buy and play games, which needs to be produced somehow. Avoidance is much more efficient than compensation. So: Best way to save the world is NOT to play games!!
(Not really seriously)

What a stupid idea. If you are worried about climate change, just don't have children.

Hmm, we have like 7 production babies now... so going carbon neutral is going to be pretty tough...

Compensation might be the preferred option...

If you keep it at 7 for the whole team of 20+ you're at least not increasing the human factor in the long run.
.
(Wildly assuming we still have a "long run" available.)
