[0.11.8] Broken selection after using Blueprints

In 0.11.8 i can reproduce an issue which leads to anything becoming non-selectable until you reload from a save.
Steps to reproduce:

- Take a blueprint, and begin marking an area without actually confirming the area
- while the area is highlighted , hit the "Q" key to drop the blueprint back into the toolbar
- selection cursor is gone, fixed only after restarting from a save game
