I have attached offshore pumps, boilers and steam engines as well as some buildings that require power (inserter and radar) but the steam engines refuse to start working.
Please take a look at my attached screen shot and let me know if i have done something wrong? The same thing works fine if i make it in one of the campaigns (this is new game -> map generator)

The boilers are one tile to low. They don't connect with the steam engines. Move them one place up and it should work.

Isn't this diagnozable by checking whether there is or is not Water in the Steam Engines? That's how I check my (water) pipe systems. If some Pipes lack water then I track from the Pump to where the fault is
