I'm looking for a new map to play on and I couldn't find a post about it so why not share our favorite maps we've found so far?

I don't know that it matters but version 0.11.8

It's been good to me. I'm brand new to the game and I set the enemy camp sizes to big. It gave me the security I needed to learn how to play and get a foothold.

For size reference of the natural enclosure? At the top of my base, those are the 14:10:1 steam boilers. I could fit six in side by side to power my laser turrets and the factory was big enough to automate science packs and oil refinery to get to mid game all in the enclosure!


You can see some of my walls I was too lazy to take down when I was confronting the enemies but you get the idea. Anyone else have any other good map strings?

This ones been good to me but I'm looking for more! I'd like to have a quicker early to mid game! I know where all the enemy camps are on this one so it wouldn't be a challenge.

I will post some of my map strings later, but for now I just wanted to say that this should really go in like General Discussion, not Gameplay Help :p Perhaps a moderator could move this? )

Seed 142857, I finished my speed run on it in 7 hrs 7 minutes and 7 sec. Just divide 1 by 7 and you will get these digits. There is tons of oil close by, as well as a large iron field close bh and a copper field a couple sectors away.

I've been enjoying this map:
The start is fairly safe and some of the resources are a little higher than normal, but the terrain is complicated and interesting.
