Making destroyed buildings 'n stuff repairable.

Hi,

I want to start going after these bug creatures (sorry I don't know their name) but before I do, I want to make sure that if they come in and destroy a bunch of my stuff that my bots will be able to go back in and fix them even if the creatures totally destroy the structure. I've seen in lets plays that other people were able to get their bots to do this (no mods) and I'd like to know how to so I can go research that and build it.

After you research Construction Robotics, destroyed buildings will drop a blueprint for the bots to rebuild.

Then you need to put extra buildings in a storage chest for bots to pick up.

Does the blueprint stay on the ground indefinitely or is it for 5min like the blueprints I put down?


Edit: I mean ghost. I don't know where I read blueprints from. Do the ghosts stay on the ground so for example if I don't have a surplus of that building made but I plan to make them in the future, I don't loose that space where I need the building to be reconstructed.

Ghost buildings do expire. If you're paranoid, you can create a blueprint of your entire base before you leave.

Ghosts expire after 5 mins with just construction bots researched, and 10 mins when you research blueprints

also, if you didn't know, you can place ghosts when shift-click
