[0.17.50] Crashes at max zoom in radar view w/ turret range visible

I'm running a weird machine configuration here so let me first get that out of the way. I'm using a 2019 MacBook Pro on macOS Mojave 10.14.5. I have an external GPU [Radeon RX Vega 56] attached via thunderbolt 3. Plugged into the Radeon is an Acer XR382CQK 37.5" display and I leave the laptop's clamshell display closed [external keyboard and mouse].
When I zoom all the way in on a cluster of laser turrets using the radar view the game crashes. It doesn't crash when I have turret range turned off. It also doesn't crash when the area I zoom in to has just a few turrets, there needs to be a lot of turrets (the blueprint I'm zooming into has ~300 on screen). I can reproduce this every time, I even took a video of it for you. Sorry for the shaky camera.

The issue only happens when using the eGPU, if I unplug and just play on the laptop it works fine. I wasn't having this issue last month. This is the first time I've had a chance to play in June.. I believe this popped up in one of the patches over the past few weeks.
Usually this causes the entire machine to become unresponsive and I have to hard restart. Sometimes I can just disconnect the eGPU and the machine recovers without rebooting. I've attached logs from both situations. In the case where the whole machine becomes unresponsive the log doesn't contain any hints, it just cuts off.
Additionally the range indicator for flame turrets has become a little glitchy. I'm hesitant to post this as the same report, but the two issues seem closely linked. https://gfycat.com/remarkableuntidycoyote
